Convert a bank statement PDF to QBO for QuickBooks — free
A Web Connect file — what your bank would hand QuickBooks over a live feed. It carries the account identity, so QuickBooks imports it with no column mapping.

What matters about this format
The difference between a file that imports and a file that is rejected is almost never the extension. It is the column shape, the date format and the size limit.
Why this beats a CSV
No mapping screen, no column guessing, no date-format argument. This is the highest-value output for a bookkeeper, and every other converter in this market puts it behind a subscription.
The institution identifier, honestly
QuickBooks validates an institution ID inside the file and rejects imports where it does not recognise one. We include a known-good value, which is what every commercial converter does. It means the account may display under a different institution name, and Intuit could tighten that validation in a future release — so we always offer plain OFX alongside, which carries no such field.
We do not produce QFX
QFX is Quicken’s variant and carries a licensed Intuit field. Producing it without an agreement is not something we will do, so it is not on the list. OFX does the same job.
