United Kingdom bank statement converters — free
The engine reads a statement by its layout, not by the name of the bank, so a United Kingdom bank without a page here may still convert — and the verification report says plainly whether it did. The banks below have been individually tested, which means their page carries the real properties of that bank's PDF rather than a template.
What is different about United Kingdom statements
These are the conventions that actually change how a statement has to be read. Getting any of them wrong does not produce an error — it produces a plausible-looking file with the wrong figures in it.
| Date order | Day first — 04/02/2026 is 4 February. Many statements print the month as a word instead, which removes the ambiguity entirely. |
| Number grouping | Comma for thousands, full stop for decimals: 1,234.56 |
| Column layout | Money in, money out and balance, with references frequently wrapping onto a second line |
| Encryption | Uncommon for statements downloaded from online banking |
| Making Tax Digital | Digital record-keeping obligations mean a paper or PDF-only record is increasingly not enough on its own |
What the banks themselves let you export. UK banks generally export the last few months as CSV, OFX or QIF. Longer history is available as statement PDFs, which are also the only place the running balance appears.
