What matters about this format
The difference between a file that imports and a file that is rejected is almost never the extension. It is the column shape, the date format and the size limit.
Balanced vouchers, or Tally refuses them
Every voucher carries two ledger entries that are equal and opposite. Get that wrong and the import fails with an error that tells you almost nothing.
Lakh grouping is read correctly
Indian statements group as 1,23,456.78 rather than 123,456.78. A converter that assumes Western grouping gets the number wrong by orders of magnitude.
